Blair Oaks works hard to lean into the family's need for accuracy, efficiency and simplicity, especially where technology is concerned. Identifying and presenting prudent resources with clarity is a primary concern. Each resource briefly outlined below enhances the visibility and accessibility of school life and is specifically intended to strengthen the relationship between home and school. Alert Center
Blair Oaks sends time-sensitive mass messages via calls, texts, emails, the website Live Feeds, and Blair Oaks app notifications. Notifications such as:  school cancellations, health notices, and other urgent information are pushed through this messaging system within our website platform.

Blair Oaks R-II Schools App
The Blair Oaks app is "Everything Falcon Country, in your pocket." The app offers streamlined access to timely website information. Families can readily view the day's menu, school events, online docs, live news feeds, and receive app notifications on their smart phones.

District Calendar Sync
Blair Oaks uses a public Google calendar to enter and share the school year calendar (including registration, in-session, out-of-session, early dismissal and weather make-up dates) with families. As a shared, public calendar, families can sync it to their personal calendars through Google.

Tech Setup Instructions

ElectPay
Blair Oaks has partnered with Central Bank to create an online payment portal to pay school fees on demand. Fees include, but are not limited to: Athletic Passes, Lunch Money, Club Fees, Parking Passes, Field Trips, and Preschool Tuition.

PowerSchool Portal
Blair Oaks' student data management system, PowerSchool, offers an online (browser-based) portal which allows parents/guardians and students access to an array of student records. Users can view meal balances/fees, demographics, attendance and academic records. Parents can even submit attendance through this portal and email/app notifications may be set up. A parent portal account also links to RevTrak, and feeds their PowerSchool App.

PowerSchool App
This app is the PowerSchool Portal at your fingertips. Students and parents can receive attendance notifications, view grades, meal/fee balances, missing assignments, class attendance and schedules, and more on their smart phones.

RevTrak Payment Center
Blair Oaks provides parents an online option to make payments to student food and fee accounts through the RevTrak system. RevTrak pushes payments into PowerSchool, but it is a separate system. RevTrak charges a processing fee for this service.

*Additionally, each student is provided a Chromebook for school use. Google Classroom, Remind and Smore newsletters are classroom management tools used throughout the district. Guidance on all classroom tech is provided by teachers from the classroom. For more information about these and other classroom resources, please contact teachers directly.

Newsletters
As a parent/guardian of a registered Blair Oaks student, the weekly Blair Oaks District digital newsletter will be delivered to your email inbox on Fridays. The newsletter shares relevant and timely district and school-specific information such as: Falcon-wear sales, sports programs, events, and program announcements. Each school newsletter is also included in the District newsletter.
