Blair Oaks Middle and High school teachers and administrators had a chance to learn about the latest changes stemming from technology in their profession Wednesday before welcoming back students.
To kick off their professional development day, educators gathered to hear from Helias Catholic Principal Spencer Allen, who has written and spoken on the ethical use of artificial intelligence in the classroom.
"Especially for your seniors and your juniors, our window is shrinking in our ability to teach them how to view this and use this in an ethical, productive way, because we don't know what guidance they're going to get when they get to college or when they head out to the workplace," he said.
