Marta Kolb

Marta Kolb said she's grateful every day she wakes up and has the opportunity to help others.

Whether it's volunteering at a local high school sporting event or running an errand, cutting grass or planting flowers for others, Kolb can usually be found helping somebody and spreading kindness.

And she always does it with a smile on her face.

"I would just about help anybody do anything," she said.

Kolb received this year's Fisher Family Good Samaritan Award. Redemption Inside the Walls and the News Tribune partnered to select five Mid-Missourians who go above and beyond to help those in need.
