The Blair Oaks R-II School Board is pleased to announce that Mr. Matt Verslues will be the new Blair Oaks Middle School Principal starting the 2025-2026 school year. Matt is a graduate of Blair Oaks High School and has been a member of the Blair Oaks Community for some time.
Mr. Verslues is currently the high school principal at Fatima High School (grades 7-12), a position he has held for two years. Prior to that Matt served as an assistant principal and athletic director at Fatima. Mr. Verslues also taught Math at Lewis Clark Middle School, Eldon High School and Middle School, Simonsen Ninth Grade Center, and Hallsville High School prior to his time at Fatima. Matt earned his Specialist in Education Administration from William Woods University and a Masters in Secondary Education from Lincoln University.
Matt has been described by others as a hard-working, team player, who conducts himself with honesty and integrity. He and his wife Tara have two children who attend Blair Oaks. We are excited to have Matt joining our team and leading the team at Blair Oaks Middle School.
