CAREER & PLANNING GUIDE

The Career and Educational Planning Guide (link on left) has been prepared for your present and future use by the combined teaching, guidance and administrative staff of Blair Oaks High School. You are encouraged to plan carefully a program of studies that will assist you in setting and reaching educational and occupational goals. It is important to select courses to fit your career plans. We suggest that you:

• Choose subjects wisely.

• Review all requirements for graduation.

• Read the course descriptions before you make your course choices.

Career planning and exploration should begin at the start of your high school career.  We suggest that you:

• Get involved in extracurricular activities

• Volunteer

• Sign up for a practice ACT or PSAT

• Start exploring career options 

• Take your subjects seriously
