It is with great pride that I welcome you to Blair Oaks Intermediate School for the 2022 - 2023 school year. I am honored to serve as the BIS Principal this year.

It is my hope, first and foremost, that our school is a place where students want to be. I hope each student feels valued, that they matter, and that they are important, every day. Developing meaningful relationships among students, staff, and parents is a critical part of making that happen. Collectively, we influence students’ attitude toward school. When we work together to emphasize the importance of learning, and taking pride in good character, we set students up for success at school. 

I am passionate about facilitating and recognizing growth and improvement, for students and teachers alike. At Blair Oaks, our goal is for every student to make gains and show growth. We want every student to improve their skills, their character, and their academic performance. As a staff, we too will strive to grow, to refine our instructional methods, stay current with technology and continuously learn to improve our craft.

Additionally, I am dedicated to the notion of being a lifelong learner and developing our students into lifelong learners as well. Our teachers at Blair Oaks continuously work to develop engaging lessons that spark that love of learning within our students. At the end of the day, our hope is that students don’t just love school, they love to learn.
