Ages and Stages Questionnaire

Ages: 1 -3 years old

Purpose: Screen pre-school children in the areas of general development, language, hearing, vision, physical and social-emotional development.

Participation: Voluntary

Developmental Indicators for the Assessment of Learning (DIAL-4)

Ages: 3 years - 5 years, 11 months

Purpose: Screen pre-school children and incoming kindergartners in the areas of motor skills, concepts, language skills, and social-emotional development.

Participation: Mandatory for incoming kindergarteners

Personnel: PAT Teachers and other school personnel

When: Fall & March (or as students enroll in kindergarten)

Kindergarten Entry Assessment - Kindergarten Observation Form 

Grade: K

Purpose: KEA is a one-time assessment designed to measure a child's skills and behaviors within the first few weeks of entering kindergarten. Using KEA data can help inform teachers and leaders of the number of children who are ready for school overall, as well as support instruction by meeting students where they are when they enter kindergarten.

Participation: All K students

Personnel: Classroom teachers

When: First 2-6 weeks of school

AIMSweb Progress Monitoring

Grades: K-2

Purpose: Screen all elementary students in reading fluency. Assessment helps determine eligibility to receive Title- 1 services and RTI time. 

Participation: All K-2 students are screened

Personnel: Title 1 Teachers and District Testing Coordinator

When: August, January, May

iReady

Grades: K-2

Purpose: Identify individual students' strengths and weaknesses in English Language Arts and Math through an adaptive diagnostic assessment in order to create customized learning plans that are data-driven and based on student needs and to monitor reading improvement plans as required by Senate Bill 681. It is also used as a dyslexia screening tool.

Personnel: Personnel: Classroom Teachers, Title Teacher, and other school personnel as needed
