Preschool Program Philosophy

  • We recognize that children are unique and learn at different rates and in different ways. Our program provides experiences to meet children’s needs and stimulate learning in all different areas - physical, social, emotional, and intellectual. We utilize an interdisciplinary, cross-curricular approach that is child-centered with hands-on exploration and an emphasis on the process more than the product of learning. The children are surrounded with literature and language.

  • We are committed to the growth of each child in an emotionally supportive environment that encourages self-acceptance and self-exploration. We help children become more independent, able to make choices and take responsibility for themselves. We are committed to keeping class size conducive to maximum learning; therefore our student-teacher ratio is maintained at 20 students to 1 teacher and 1 aide (per session).

  • We operate on the premise that we are in a partnership with the parents of our children, fostering open communication between home and school.
